Materials:
• Denim (60 inch width and desired length)
• 1’’ wide elastic to fit waist
• Basic sewing siupplies
• Eyelet or edge lace
Measure the desired length of your skirt. Add 2 inches for the hem and 1 ½ inches for the top.
With right sides together, sew the selvage edges together.
Turn the top edge down 1 ½ inches and press.
Turn under the raw edge 1/4 inch and stitch in place.
Leaving an opening to insert the elastic, stitch all the way around 1 ½ inch from folded edge.
Turn bottom edge up 2 inches, turn raw edge under 1/4 inch and hem all the way around.
Insert elastic in opening, stretch to fit and then sew opening closed.
Sew eyelet or lace to the bottom of skirt.
